Went with a group of girlfriends. It was definitely a unique looking place. The service was alright, the server was friendly if a bit aloof at times. Food was good, though expensive. I enjoyed it, but I don't know if I'd go out of my way to go back because of the distance.

This was my first time at Sugo and I was not overly impressed. Nothing was terrible but nothing was fantastic either. I ordered the steak sandwich and was surprised to get what was more like a Philly Cheesesteak. The bread was so thick, it was just too much. The steak was over-cooked and as a result, had very little flavour of its own. The flavour came from the onions, peppers and cheese over the steak. Although the side salad was very salty, I enjoyed it quite a bit.

The service was minimal. I was very thirsty and nearly finished my water before getting my meal. The server did not refill my water. He did check on our meals but it wasn't until we were almost finished. I had to loudly ask for his attention (which I hate doing) so I could order a latte. The latte and biscotti served with it were great.

Overall, the whole experience was just alright. I won't be rushing back as there are many more Italian restaurants in Calgary that are much better.

If you want to linger and chat over coffee or read the morning paper while waiting for your gluten free or not gluten free breakfast - visit this place! This restaurant is for those who want to live poetically and slow down and enjoy the experience - this is not McDonalds. The food is real and takes time to cook. Its yummy and the French press coffee is awesome! They do charge $3 extra gluten free to make sure that there is not cc issues and this includes having gf bread with your meal.

A family breakfast turned into a disaster ... first, the service was terrible. Maybe 3/4 hr the breakfast arrives. The eggs are runny and the bacon wasn't cooked. When I complained, I was asked if the bacon should be put in the oven to cook ... my husband said 'no the fry pan'. It came back very similar to the first time. All in all, the worst ever breakfast I have ever had. The bills was $40.00 for 3. Certainly not worth one cent of that amount. There was no point in complaining to the server who was also cooking and was very hard to understand. We will never return!!

Today was my first time and I found it to be a great place for Vietnamese cuisine. The service was very fast...we were seated quickly, had our appetizer within a couple of minutes & food shortly after. My dish was huge & only $ 10.00. The room was nothing fancy but that was OK. A big lunch crowd so I was glad we made reservations. I would definately reccommend.

I have tried this restaurant twice. The first time was over a business lunch in which i had brought a cleint that i was trying to impress. It was a complete disaster the food was medicore, the service was even worse. I had heard soem nice things about this eatery so i thought i woudl give it anotehr chance. Worst mistake becuase the second time was even worse. You don't get what you pay for.. There are better places in town such as Osteria De Medici in kensington.

I go to the Wildernest Cafe at least once a week and have been doing so for 3 months now. I have never been disappointed. The staff/owners are exceptionally friendly, the environment is quaint, and the food is beyond exceptional in my opinion. A real gem in Inglewood. Hmmm...it's lunch time, I'm off to the Wildernest.

Nice atmosphere, not bad food. It was the worst service i have ever had anywhere in my life and i used to serve so you tend to overlook things other people might not. I was right after the lunch rush i assume, and we were the only table in there and it probably took us two hours because we were ignored the whole time.

If you like olde world stuff and antiques this is the place for you. Dim lights, red curtains, antique furniture, and Billie Holiday all combine to make this a lovely romantic experience. The first time we went we ordered the special - a roasted, cheese-stuffed chicken breast paired with garlic mashed potatoes and we both loved it. The service is great - no complaints whatsoever. A definite thumbs up all-round.

I wanted to find a nice quiet place to sit and have coffee and do some reading. I thought I would check out Eat Eat and they were very friendly when I sheepishly asked to only have some coffee and juice. They had just finished cleaning up after lunch and it was very slow. This is quaint and quiet now, but I hear it is extremely busy. I will have to come back when I have an appetite. Nice little place.

I heard of this place maybe about 2 years ago. We go here very often.

The food is great and the service is friendly. It's a family restaurant and the patrons that come through, have been eating here for years.

Faves on the menu are: dumplings, chicken corn soup, hot & sour soup, mandarin pork (excellent), sizzling rice with tomato and shrimp, all the hot plates, schezuan noodles (yum!).

the price is really good. For two people we usually get and apetizer, a soup, a main dish and noodles and it'll be under $40 and we have left overs for lunch the next day!

Give it a try! You won't be disappointed!

I do love the ambiance here. The service is top-notch. The menu is creative and the food is lovely to look at. I only wish I could say I liked eating here too.
I've been to Rouge several times, most recently early 2009, and have yet to be impressed, especially with the main courses. Over-salted rack of lamb (NB: I have an affinity to salt and even MSG, so this isn't a case of bland-palate-syndrome) and tough, over-cooked trout come to mind. Neither are really challenging things to do properly, so I don't get it. But until they got it, I'll be eating elsewhere.

The tour of Italy has me mezmorized. Offered on Tuesday evenings every 2 weeks (I think) is absolutely amazing. All served family style (which is a step aside from the Capo norm) It is so much fun to mingle with folks you meet that night! Giuseppe steps out of the kitchen and addresses his guests with the history of the dishes served with his wonderful personna. Bravo!
Excellent obscure wine parings as well.
