1600 World Bier Haus

Kids in school! Let's go for lunch. I haven't been here for quite awhile, so I forgot that they have a nice patio.
TK took care of us and we really enjoyed it. She had the Lobster Mac & Cheese and I had to have the world burger. It came and I had to plan my attack of this 3 time burger champion. It was huge. Man was it delicious though. She, really loved her mac and cheese, savoring every bite. No time for dessert, but one of the best lunches we've had in a long time. Server knowledge and friendliness was top notch. They do have some GF items and they also use Lakeview bakery bread. Thanks Ernie.

The restaurant was clean and pleasant to be in. We were seated right away, it wasn't a busy time. My Turkey strawberry brie sandwich was very good. My salad looked nice on top, however as I ate my way through, the lettuce was quite wilted and some leaves were yellow - not supposed to be. Brought this to the server's attention and was asked what was wrong with it. Our service wasn't outstanding like the compulsory 18% gratuity suggests it should be. Not once were we asked if we wanted refills on our drinks. We had to ask the server several times for needed items. We felt our server was too busy with outside customers to pay proper attention to the inside customers. We would prefer to give a tip at our discretion, great service = great tip, poor service = poor tip. 18% instant fee implies wonderful food and wonderful service. We won't be back.

1600's Ahu Tuna Salad has become a mainstay in my diet....so great and amazing value. For what you get $16 is a cheap price....seeing as how many other places with similar dishes charge much more. I've always been impressed with 1600's service especially at lunchtime and the lounge has a good vibe.

Reviewed the menu online & decided to give the Bier Haus a try based spefically on their Peanut Butter French Toast. After being seated & drink order arriving, we were advised that we had arrived too early for the dish. Having driven across town in anticpation of this dish, we were considerably disappointed. For better customer service this information should of been relaid immediately upon being seated. As our drinks have been delivered we stayed choosing other dishes. The service left alot to be desired with requests for refills having to be made several times before the waitress delivered request. It was only as we were leaving that the kitchen decided to go purchase bananas at the grocery store next door. At that point we did request to speak with the manager for explaination. The italian benedict order was not on par with description -extremely spicey and grilled sandwich extremely greasy. Based on this we will be passing any further visits to this establishment.
