I've been coming here for busn and pleasure to eat great comfort foods for over a year now. The people are friendly and they get to know their guests.
I come here for the food, service, price, and environment. Coffee is good, even though I prefer a stronger coffees like espressos it still works.
Never had a disappointment and I usually dine at the higher end restaurants as I appreciate good-great food and value.

I've been here twice - the first time it was sort of busy, and I thought that might be why it took forever to get our food and bill, although it appeared that the waitress was just talking to someone. Second time, it was almost completely empty, and they ignored us for about 15 minutes before even bringing menus. Conversely, the waitress was super friendly and prompt to a regular who showed up after us but got his bill first somehow. The food was great both times, but the coffee was a bit weak, although I'd expect that from a diner.

I saw this place being renovated for months, and I eagerly awaited its opening once I could tell what it was. When I went for brunch the first time, it was fantastic. My Ricky's-loving husband also approved, and now prefers it over other diners. They have quality ingredients that are cooked and presented well. And good coffee, too. They also have a lot of options for various diets (vegetarian, celiac, etc.). And little packets of Stevia on the table instead of Splenda or some other fake sugar. Red's is a winner.

Visited here April 24th. Not sure how long it has been open but the attention to customers needs a LOT of work.
We arrived in the doorway and restaurant was full. We were a party of three and stood there for at least 10 minutes before a staff member finally came over to inquire after names and numbers of those waiting. Finally we were seated and then another long wait before a waitress came over to take drink orders….another long wait for our drinks….than another long wait for menus to arrive.
Once we had ordered, it took far too long to get our food.
The food was uneven, my eggs benny was very good, other orders, not so good.
We had to ask three times for our bill.
Very nice decor, great location, good menu and I believe the food will eventually be top notch bfast fare.
They need to figure out how to properly serve clients during a weekend bfast rush. The competition in this sector in Calgary blows them away right now.
