This is my second time going to this restaurant for lunch. It is obviously a favorite of the locals as well as visitors. The food is delicious and priced just right. My husband and I ordered the specials and weren't disappointed. It was a very enjoyable experience.

This restaurant has been one of our favorites for about 10 years. We first tasted this authentic Louisiana cuisine in their original location, and have followed French Quarter to the new location on Cougar Creek Drive. The food is consistently delicious and just like you are in New Orleans because the Chef/Owner is the only one cooking for you. Whether you love fish or would rather stick to chicken or beef, your taste buds are in for a treat every time. Every second Saturday you can also experience their live Jazz band. Become a fan on facebook. Make sure you try this restaurant next time you visit Canmore.

I unsuccessfully drove around Canmore a few times looking for this place that a friend from Ottawa told me about that has great flatbread pizzas. She didn't know the name, but Canmore isn't that big, right? This time, on my way home from a great night in Panorama, BC, I did some research and found out the name and address.
Rocky Mountain Flatbread Co. appears to specialize in flatbread pizza, pasta, salads and soups. They focus on being organic and local as much as possible.
The vibe in the place is good. Your eyes immediately are attracted to the wood fire oven and the smell that it produces, as well as the colours and feel of the place, create a pleasing vibe.
The service was a little slow. It was mid afternoon on a Sunday and it was before any kind of dinner rush, but I think it was just the server might have been slightly inexperienced, although very friendly. Like most restaurants in the mountains, the servers are young kids from all over the world working just enough to pay for their skiing habits.
On to the food. For a drink without looking at the menu, I ordered a glass of iced tea. After looking at the menu, turns out the iced tea was organic tea that was sweetened with maple syrup. Lucky guess for me. While I was tempted for a big bowl of pasta I decided to stick to their speciality and get a pizza. I ordered the Apple Chicken Harvest. It had a tomato sauce, chicken and granny smith apples, onions, topped with cheese, pesto and cherry tomatoes. I was a little curious about apples on a pizza. It wasn't terrible by any means, but didn't really enhance the pizza. The pizza overall was good. I ate the whole thing without any problems, but it didn't knock my socks off. My next trip there, I'm going to go with a more tradtional pizza. That's right, I'd definitely go back. Next time you spend a day skiing at Louise or Sunshine, avoid the mid afternoon, over-priced cafeteria food and stop in Canmore for some gourmet wood fire pizza. It would be nice to be there with a group and order a bunch of different flavour and taste them all. My pizza and iced tea came to $13.50. Very reasonable considering that you are getting organic wood fired pizza and that you would pay the same for pizza from a chain a few blocks down the road. Rocky Mountain Flatbread Co. definitely offers great value for your money.

I dine at Thai Pagoda regularly; the food is always great and very authentic. Portions are moderate, but well very priced. The staff are friendly and overall service is wonderful. One of the owners used to work at the Chateau Lake Louise as their wine sommelier, so they have an amazing selection of wine and beer. Highly recommend for anyone.

We have been living and dining in Canmore for years now and there is certainly one thing myself and some close friends can all agree on: Habitat is going to be a stong force in this town no question. The food is absolutely amazing, I had a steak that was without a doubt one of the best steaks I have ever had in my entire life. My friend had the duck which I was lucky enough to get a bite of and wow, I was blown away. It is definately somewhat difficult to find (there isn't a whole lot of signage) however it is worth the driving around without question. We had such a fun time, our server (Josh) was extremely helpful, polite and personnable there was no bartender however the manager (Cory) looked after us before we moved into the dining room and he was an absolute pleasure. We will recomend this restaurant to everyone we know, it is an extremely nice change to the Restaurants we currently have to choose from in Canmore as with most other places in town you either get good food and bad service, bad food and good service or unfortunately none of the above. At Habitat you get both... We cannot wait to bring in our out of town visitors! Great job guys for putting together such an awesome team. They truly help execute a memorable experience!

I travelled a lot and gourmet croissant is where you find the best of the best.

My husband and I went to Murrieta's for our anniversary a few years ago, and I still remember the excellent service. They apologized when our table wasn't quite ready at the time we had reserved it for. We only ended up waiting a few minutes, but they still gave us a free round of drinks. The food was excellent and they treated us well.

The coffee mine serves Illy coffee, which I hear is popular and in high demand. I enjoyed a caramel macchiatto there one afternoon as well as a nice croissant - so tasty!

My friends and I stopped at the Paw last summer after pretty much every hike or camping trip. We believe that the Paw can do no wrong. They brew such good beer (I recommend trying their sample tray, or get the pumpkin ale if it's in season). When asked what kind of salad you want with your meal, order Granny B's roughage. There is no other way to go. I often order just a large portion of that salad and find myself daydreaming about it for weeks later. Their pulled pork sandwich is also top notch.

Communitea has all of the same qualities I love about the town of Canmore. They're green, they love nature and the earth, they love supporting the local community and arts. They have a fantastic selection of quality teas (qualiteas? sorry - I had to) and great lunches for both vegetarians and carnivores. I had the pad thai and it was amazing.

My boyfriend's crape was brought out first. I figured they only had one grill so mine would be coming shortly after. However, after 20 minutes of waiting the waitress clued in that I was expecting to get something. She proceeded to ask me if I had ordered anything and I said yes. She then went to the lady at the grill (owner = very unprofessional and snarky) who proceeded to tell her there were no other orders. At this point a third one chimed in to say that there was an extra order of "The Goat". The crape took forever to arrive; tables that arrived after us were served first.
To add to it, it tasted horrible. The eggs in the crape were completely tasteless. The owner lady was rude and snarky. I will never return to this place. When someone pays you for a product + service it's not too much to expect for that service and product to actually be good.
If you are incapable of providing that, you should be out of business.

Best view in the rockies, food was suberb, friendly staff and once again what a view

I stopped by the Georgetown Inn in Canmore where the Miners Lamp is do have dinner there. I tried the fish and chips can honestly say they were the best fish and chips I ever had. I'm in Calgary but whenever I go through Canmore in the future i'll be stopping by the Georgetown Inn for those fantastic fish and chips!

Communitea is what they profess to be: Community oriented, Environmentally conscious, reasonably quiet and has good food. The decor is a bit eclectic; there are bean bag chairs, lounge chairs and tables with pull-up chairs. It ends up looking a bit disorganized which might be the intent. The coffee is good although not the best in Canmore. Soups are very good and very generous. Parking is easy as it is off main street.

Out of the blue, we decided to make a run to Canmore and wanted to try out this quiet little corner place. Seems like it is well run and it has some nice coffee choices. I do like that they serve Intelligencia!
I had a very delicious ham & cheese panini. I didn't study the ingredients, so I was pleasantly suprised when it showed up with spinach on it. Yum!
I also tried a MAPLE latte. It wasn't my favorite, but I like the idea in such a touristy place.
