Looks are deceiving

The pub looks great, very authentic Irish pub feel but that's about it has going for it. The service was none existent. Waited 30 minutes for drinks to arrive on a slow Tuesday night. Waitress seemed more interested in chatting up her coworkers in the corner than taking our order or delivering it. Had the fish and chips. Not exactly what I'd call traditional Irish pub fare. The fish portions were small and the tarter sauce came straight from a jar. I hate restaurants claiming "authentic" food but can't deliver. This is just one of the many "Irish" pubs in this city serving OK to decent food. Just to nitpick, Irish pubs typically don't have flatscreens blaring hockey and baseball.
About as Irish as Hitler

Another stale attempt at importing the traditional Irish pub. Sure they have Guiness available and have fish and chips on the menu but so does a thousand other sports bars in this city. Walk through the front door and your greeted with a large bar surrounded by flatscreens blaring hockey or football from the high-powered sound system.
If you're not slamming back the Guiness and just their to enjoy a meal, you might have wait awhile. The wait staff are well-trained to ignore those who aren't looking to throw away their money on a drinking binge.
The food is decent once it arrives but far from the advertised "authentic" Irish fair.

It's small, almost cramped and cozy. Just the way pubs are served in the UK. Decent food, good beer and a friendly atmosphere in which to enjoy an evening with friends. I like how they do not claim to be "authentic" Irish/Scottish/English pub like so many others in this city. And while they don't claim to be authentic, they do a good job at being just that.
