We had a very significant birthday for a family member organized in the private room, but no one seemed to know or really care.
When we arrived the staff quickly left the private room to make way for us. The hostess was pleasant, but seemed unsure of our reservation(not a good sign). We were left alone in the room for 15 minutes. When the rest of our party arrived and we waited another 10 minutes after alerting the hostess to the fact that we had not seen a server, I decided to take matters into my own hands.
The person that does stand out was Danielle at the bar. She was pleasant and eagar to help me get liquid to the group. She rallied the team to organize our beverages and thank you for that. It was about the best thing about the event other than celebrating the milestone birthday of our family member. Our eventual server was good. We had a good time, but it could have been so much better. Maybe there will be a next time.

Lunch with two friends on the patio of this place was very nice. The server was helpful, but a bit unsure about beer in general??
One of my friends had the chili chicken that looked amazing and he finished it all, so that is a clear indication that it was good at least. I had the yam fries as my side to the chicken club sandwich. The sandwich was good, but the yam fries were outstanding. This place really does have consistantly good food.

I wanted to find a nice quiet place to sit and have coffee and do some reading. I thought I would check out Eat Eat and they were very friendly when I sheepishly asked to only have some coffee and juice. They had just finished cleaning up after lunch and it was very slow. This is quaint and quiet now, but I hear it is extremely busy. I will have to come back when I have an appetite. Nice little place.

I heard about the opening of 1600 Bier Haus at Glenmore Landing from a friend. I enjoy the vibe at 1410 (it's sister location) so I thought I'd check it out. Good thing I decided to go early 'cause there wasn't a spare seat shortly after 6pm. I was really impressed with the look of the space, fresh and modern with this cool mural on one of the walls. The service was a little slow but for a packed room with new staff it wasn't bad. Oh yeah, and the staff is easy on the eyes which helps. Food portions and selection were excellent. I loved the great selection of beers...over 100 I think. I'll definitely be back to try again.
