Always a pleasant experience, Ruths definitely serves it up! Appetizers like the buffalo mozzarella on tomato, escargot, and sides like potato au gratin make my mouth water just thinking about it. And those giant onion rings!

Oh wait, yes the Steaks. Simple. Sizzling. No Sauce other than wine needed. :)

Pricey. Yes. Not for everyday. Every once in a while though, one should indulge in a Ruth's steak experience.

Dining is all about the company, the atmosphere, and of course the food.

I've been to Alloy a few times - the interior is absolutely beautiful! That definitely gains points. And the beef short rib - wow.

But then perhaps it's my personal preference, but I prefer my food not to try too many different things at once. My taste buds got confused after awhile.

So all in all - always a great ladies nite dinner, and a great date place for the feel - quite romantic - fantastic patio. But I wouldn't go just for the food.

I ran across Rush one day after a late night at work. Had already had some boardroom food. Yum. (there really should be a sarcasm font).

Anyhow, my colleague and I just wanted a martini, to sit back and relax. ooh, and an appy menu. How can one resist? Especially at $5 a pop?

Tuna tartare. Everybody does it. But definitely, not everybody does it like Rush. mmmm..

Mushroom tempura. mmmm...

Lamb Ravioli ... great sauce. but the other 2 were definitely better.

Should we order more ..?

Yes! cheese platter. Well it's a cheese platter. I think it's the same everywhere, no?

Where are we at? $36 or so? Really??

okay, I went back for lunch and it definitely got more expensive.

But Lounge? oh yes. Please.

oh, and if you've read this far - the rating is an average overall between the lounge and lunch experience.

Before the invention of creative sushi, there was just sushi. The fish. The rice. The wasabi. I'm not a chef, but my thoughts are - the only way to make this work, is if you have really fresh fish. And fresh it is!

There is no this mixed with that, drizzled with the other. It's just fresh fish. And sooo good! If you are a toro lover, a salmon lover, an uni lover, a raw spot tailed prawn lover, a Classic Original Sushi Lover - this is the place to be!

Don't get me wrong, I love creative sushi too. I would just go somewhere else for that.

Just do it!

District. Original items on their menu. Great atmosphere - very casual, chill, after work, have a drink type of place.

Food - well the food is good. I quite like the idea of getting to compile your own charcuterie board. But at $5 or so an item, it adds up to be quite the expensive board. (I don't know about you, but I like variety).

The Staff are fantastic! They are friendly, accommodating, and generally why I keep coming back. After all, the restaurant experience is not always just about the food. Staff - 10 points!

This is one of my favourite places in this city. Not because of the fabulous food (food is okay), not because of the fabulous wine selection (they don't have that either), but because it is has the coziest patio in this city.

On a summer day, sitting under umbrellas on a raised patio with some girl friends, chatting about nothing and everything, eating light seafood pastas, margherita pizzas, calamari, away from the city noise while still being in the middle of Kensington - well - very few experiences can match it.

Oh, now the cat's out of the bag. I'll have to share my patio now.

I've been to Raw Bar a few times - from when they first opened, to the last time - which was a few months ago, and now, it's no longer on the list.

I love the atmosphere. The stars in the ceiling - great for a swank lunch, dinner, drinks. The green-eyed lady - great drink!

I'm not sure what's going on with the food though. The first time, it was good - had some sushi. The second time, good - had the seafood platter. The third time - meh. Non-descript enough not to remember. The fourth time - wow. I cannot eat this. $60 in for an afterwork bite - and I am officially hungry! (okay, there may have been a drink in there for the $60).

Maybe it's just me ... maybe they were having a bad day? But the progressive trend seems to be heading south - so I'll be heading elsewhere. (For food that is).
