3rd Choice, but a good one

After checking out our first choices downtown during the Stampede craze we headed back south to try Halo. App's: Baby Yorkies au Jus, a little salty, but good. Saganaki, too lemony, would have liked more brandy. Entree: Blessed Basa, loved the mango salsa. Portions are North American size for entree, so order one app if you are a couple. Great atmosphere, but its still the 'burbs, so ppl bring well behaved older children... Excellent service, wow!

One of the first places with culture I ate at in Calgary for a work lunch. Casual and yummy. Decent variety, happy to have a San Pellegrino Aranciata and yes good sauasage.

I loved the boxes with quotes of inspiration. Liked the pizza too, good variety. It always my first choice for pizza pick-up. Not a great atmosphere, its like a cafeteria, however service is good.

Had goat cheese fritter and wonderful salad with fresh mint and grapefruit. The flavors were robust and went well together. Nice Shriaz. Also had the bite of the day. Husband had mountain oyesters, which I tried and like them too. Seriously good taste, its exciting to try new things. Good quality, light fare, I felt great after eating such a welcomed change after overeating at big chain restaurants!
Warm and Yummy on a Cool Autumn Day

Had Veggie Korma with mom (lunch), who had some type of chicken dish, probably Butter Chicken (she's not too adventurous). The Korma was excellent, warm and quite spicy. The textures (type) of veggies were my favorite, small and crunchy. Definately order some nan to go with this dish. Mostly work lunch crowd there for buffet, which is reasonable. Menu is reasonable.

Very busy, be prepared to stand in line and wait up to an hour to be seated, but the food is good. Definately a breakfast stop, wholesome, warm, good quality food. Good atmosphere, but full and not too much room. Was able to take a young child, but was nervous about the glass slab on top of the tablecloth (unsecured to the tables), a little dangerous with an impatient toddler! I went back a few months ago with Torontonians for brunch and they gave it an approval as well.
